In addition to the four-year undergraduate programme, four programmes including two master's degree programmes, one with thesis and the other without thesis, and a PhD programme in public finance are offered simultaneously in the department. The purpose of the public finance degree programme is to train qualified financiers who know the ways of accessing information, who can comment, use the information, who have the flexibility to produce information when necessary, equipped with financial, legal and managerial information and the necessary qualifications to work in various levels of public institutions and organizations and private sector enterprises. The Public Finance undergraduate programme is the leading department in the undergraduate programmes in Economics and Administrative Sciences in terms of potential for employment after graduation. The reason for this is that the department curriculum is enriched with economics, business administration, law and accounting courses as well as finance courses, and the programme is reviewed and includes current issues according to the current conditions. Increasing the number of elective courses in the third and fourth grades of the programme allows students to choose courses in line with their own interests, which positively affects their motivation and knowledge in the courses they take. There are also double major and minor programme opportunities in the public finance programme.

Our department students do their internship in public institutions or private enterprises if they wish, hence they have the opportunity to practice before graduation. Our students are particularly encouraged to participate in social and cultural studies and student club activities, and in this way their personal development is supported. With the competitive examinations, students who graduate from the undergraduate public finance programme can be employed in high-career professions as a Tax Inspector, Commissioner of Audits, Administrative Law Judge, Revenue Specialist, Customs and Trade Inspector, and District Governor, or in various institutions and in the financial sector such as banking with the title of Specialist, Inspector, Auditor and Supervisor. In addition to these, there is also the possibility to pursue an academic career.
